Our support to Rise Against Hunger is renewed from year to year. Rise Against Hunger is a non-profit organization committed to the fight against world hunger. Thanks to the partners’ support and the organization of charity events, every year it produces millions of complete and nutritious meals for the neediest countries.
Meals consist of a few simple ingredients (rice, soy, lentils, vitamins) and are mainly intended for schooling programs. Donating meals to schools means promoting education, improving children’s health, addressing gender inequalities, stimulating economic growth, struggling child labor.
Our company philosophy is perfectly in line with Rise Against Hunger’s ideals, so we can proudly say that our support for their cause is particularly felt. For many years we have been providing them with our textured soy, an essential ingredient for a nutritious meal. Our contribution did not stop here: we also participated in the packaging activity, involving all of us at ABS FOOD and our families. In one afternoon, working as a team, we packed more than 12,500 food rations, destined for the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria. Even the little ones contributed with drawings to communicate to children in need their message of support and closeness.
It was a highly sensitizing occasion, which allowed us to better understand Rise Against Hunger’ mission. Together we helped to do something great.
